Black cod is one of the most beautiful edible fish in the Atlantic. Its taste and white meat have made it one of the most sought after fish species, which has led the fishing industry with their boats to hunt these fish uncontrollably. In some areas, they are endangered, for example in the North Sea. In order to compensate for this uncontrolled fishing as an alternative, haddock is fished for this purpose in the open waters off the coast of Iceland.
