White wine - Bricco dei guazzi - Gavi di Gavi docg Format: Glass bottle 75cl White wine - Bricco dei guazzi - Gavi di Gavi docg - Data sheet Grapes: Polite courteous Grape yield: Approx. 60-70 qli/ha Origin: Gavi commune, 20-year-old vines from 150 to 250 metres above sea level Breeding method: Simple Guyot Planting density: 4,000 plants/hectare Refinement: 4 months in steel Vintage: 2023 – First vintage: 2010 Analytical data: Alcohol 13% vol Longevity: 2-3 years Land: A plot of almost five hectares in the commune of Gavi, characterised by a terroir composed of marl with loose sandstone, which enhances the delicate aromas of the grapes. The vineyards enjoy a privileged southern exposure. Vinification: The grapes harvested in the first week of September are destemmed and gently pressed. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in steel vats maintained at a controlled temperature. Once fermentation is complete, the wine rests on the noble lees for at least 4 months before being bottled. Tasting: Perfect throughout a meal with traditional dishes. The colour is straw yellow of medium intensity. The nose is clean with floral scents in which melon and a light citrus note stand out. On the palate it is slender, very fresh and tasty, well blending the typical acidity of the variety with a gentle, ready-to-drink profile. Combinations: a. Excellent as an aperitif or served with savoury canapés and light starters. It is also ideal to accompany delicate fish-based first courses, or with 'tajarin al tartufo', a typical pasta dish seasoned with truffle, butter and Parmesan cheese. Recommended serving temperature: 10-12° C.
