Exposure: north-east. Location: Monforte d'Alba Grape varieties: 100% Chardonnay Year of implantation: 1997-2011 Average altitude: 500 m Average production/HA: 63 hectolitres Grape harvest: - first week of September Alcohol: 13,5% Vinification: Direct pressing of the grapes. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Refinement: after a few months in stainless steel on its own yeasts, the wine is bottled. Organoleptic characteristics: Langhe Chardonnay has a pale straw yellow colour with greenish highlights. The nose smells of fresh white fruit (banana and yellow peach) with light notes of lemon and exotic fruits (pineapple). In the mouth it is fresh with mineral aromas, full and persistent. Plumpness is evident in the mouth. The wine is pleasant on the palate, with refreshing acidity and good complexity. Ideal as an aperitif, but also easy to pair with appetisers or first courses of both white meat and fish.
